Polarity has over 30 years of design and fabrication experience related to high power microwave systems, high voltage test machines, high power high voltage solid state modulators, and ultra low noise high voltage power supplies. All systems are designed with MTBF and serviceability in mind for the highest product value.

High Power Modulator Design

  • 1.2kV to 50kV, 1 to 1000A - Solid State Modulators

  • 10kV to 100kV, 1 to 100A - Vacuum Tube Modulators

  • Modulators can be packaged in rack mountable enclosures, pressurized oil tanks, pressurized SF6 enclosures, epoxy potted modules, or low corona air cooled enclosures.

High Voltage Resonate RF Amplifier Design

  • 2KV pk to pk @ 1MHz, single or dual output,
    drives 10 -150pf

  • 2KV pk to pk @ 1.5MHz, single or dual output,
    drives 10 -150pf

  • 1 - 3KV pk to pk @ 2MHz, single or dual output,
    drives 10 - 150pf

These resonate amplifiers can be rack mounted or built on a single PCB. All systems include voltage and current monitoring and frequency adjust for resonate tuning.

Options: These systems can also be outfitted with a high-speed crowbar system that clamps the output to less than 100volts in less than 500ns. This crowbar system provides a sync pulse output and extraction duration (adjust) all relative to the crowbar event.

Power Supply Design

Ultra low noise linear power supplies:

  • 300V to 5KV, 500W max - Small Pak

  • Linear Ultra Low Noise - 10kV to 50kV, 100kW

  • Switch Mode - 10kV to 50kV, 50kW max.

Switch mode power supplies:

  • DC to DC converters - Input 12 - 48VDC, output to 15KVDC, 500W max

  • AC to DC converters - Input 120 to 480VAC, output to 50KVDC, 50KW

High Power Microwave Amplifier Design

  • High power microwave systems - 5kW-100kW CW to 5MW peak

  • Design to mil-spec ultra low noise, high power radar and communication amplifiers.

  • Design to commercial spec high power CW or pulsed industrial microwave systems.

Monitor and Control Development

  • Polarity provides software and firmware development for embedded controllers and system automation. Our software engineers can integrate all types of test equipment (HP, Lecroy, Tektronix, etc...) to fully automate manufacturing and testing procedures.

US Navy Contracts Polarity, Inc.
The US Navy awarded Polarity with a contract to design and build their new advanced magnetron test systems. These magnetron test systems will use Polarity's high performance solid state modulator and 10KW, 40KV cathode power supply. Contract issuance through 2005. _________________________

Polarity Now Offering TWT Test Sets:
Polarity, Inc. is now offering TWT test sets that have a 15KV cathode power supply, 3ea-3KW collector power supplies, 3KV swing grid modulator, and a 8V, 8A heater supply. This product was developed as a low cost solution for the TWT manufacturing industry. _________________________

Polarity Acquires New Manufacturing Facility:

Industrial/Commercial Power Supplies 
Now Offered:
Polarity, Inc. is now offering 300V, 100W and 600v, 100W industrial power supplies. These power supplies are being used by the United States Navy for pulse mode applications. Polarity is also offering a commercial version of these power supplies.

Third Generation 1MHz, 2.5KV RF Source Complete:
Polarity completed its third generation 1MHz, 2.5KV RF source that integrates with TOF Mass Spec systems. The rack mount RF Source has a built in crowbar system that is connected electrically across the RF output. It is used to clamp the RF output to less 30V in less than 500ns. Crowbar triggering can be accomplished before the output extraction pulse so that system propagation delay can be accounted for to successfully detect and analyze negative ions. This will enable the BIOresearch firms to look at different proteins with TOF Mass Spec technology.

US Air Force Contracts Polarity®:
The US Air Force awarded Polarity with a contract to design and build a Radar Transmitter power system. The radar transmitter will utilize Polarity's high power, solid-state anode modulator and high speed crowbar. Contract issuance through 2004.

US Trademark Issued:
Polarity, Inc. was issued a United States Trademark on October 22, 2002 for our corporate logo "Polarity®".

New Contract Award:
Polarity was awarded a US Navy contract to design and build eighteen (18) high voltage power supplies with integrated high-speed solid-state modulators. Contract issuance through 2003.

New Contract Award:
Polarity's R&D group has developed a 2KV, 1MHz RF amplifier that is configurable 2MHz. Two Biotech manufacturers have contracted Polarity to be the OEM for these amplifiers for use in their mass-produced TOF mass spectrometers. Polarity will start volume manufacturing in November 2002.

US Patent Issued:
Polarity was issued a US patent for it's innovative Solid State Modulator design. This modulator has the best MTBF in the industry.
